DSPE-PEG-SH (phospholipid polyethylene glycol sulfhydryl)

DSPE-PEG-SH (phospholipid polyethylene glycol mercapto) is a linear heterobifunctional peg reagent with DSPE phospholipid and mercaptan groups. It is a useful self-assembly reagent for the preparation of PEGylated liposomes or micelles, and also provides mercaptan groups for conjugation with mercaptan containing molecules. It is usually used for targeted drug delivery of lipid bilayers to improve drug solubility, PEG provides stealth properties, prolongs circulating half-life and reduces non-specific protein binding or cell adhesion, and acid groups are used for biological conjugated targeted molecules, including antibodies, aptamers, proteins and peptides.
