Product Application

1. Mainly used for the modification of resins and coatings. It can be copolymerized with other acrylic monomers to obtain acrylic resins with active hydroxyl groups in the side chains, which can be used for esterification and cross-linking reactions, synthesizing insoluble resins and improving adhesion, and can be used as fiber treatment agents. Co-reacted with melamine-formaldehyde (or urea-formaldehyde) resins, epoxy resins, etc., for the manufacture of two-component coatings. When added to high-end car paint, it can maintain mirror gloss for a long time. It can also be used as an adhesive for synthetic textiles and as a medical polymer monomer.

2. Used as a cross-linking monomer in the manufacture of solvent-based or emulsion-based acrylate adhesives. Because it contains polymerizable vinyl bonds and active hydroxyl groups, it is easy to homopolymerize to form a soft resin with excellent gloss, transparency and weather resistance, which is used as a contact lens material. It is also used in the production of photosensitive resins, medical polymer materials and thermosetting coatings. It can react with melamine-formaldehyde resin and epoxy resin to manufacture two-component coatings for luxury cars. It can also be used as a modifier of resin for fiber and non-woven fabric processing, and resin for paper processing.
