Health hazards of isopropanol:
When exposed to high concentration steam, headache, sleepiness, ataxia and eye, nose and throat irritation symptoms occur. Oral administration can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, sleepiness, coma and even death.
Long term skin contact can cause dry and chapped skin.
Skin contact: take off contaminated clothes and wash skin thoroughly with soapy water and clear water.
Eye contact: lift the eyelids and rinse with flowing water or normal saline. See a doctor.
Inhalation: quickly leave the site to a place with fresh air. Keep the respiratory tract unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, give artificial respiration immediately. See a doctor.
Ingestion: drink enough warm water to induce vomiting. Gastric lavage. See a doctor.
Inhaling excessive isopropanol vapor will cause harm to human health, slightly irritate eyes and upper respiratory tract, high concentration may cause headache and nausea, and massive exposure will cause loss of consciousness and death.
