Precautions for acetonitrile operation: strictly seal, provide sufficient local exhaust and comprehensive ventilation. The operation should be mechanized and automated as much as possible. Operators must receive special training and strictly abide by the operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear filter gas masks (full face masks), self-contained respirators or ventilated respirators, rubber gas jackets and rubber oil resistant gloves. Keep away from kindling and heat sources. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the workplace. Use explosion-proof ventilation system and equipment. Keep away from inflammables and combustibles. Prevent steam from leaking into the air of the workplace. Avoid contact with oxidants, reductants, acids and bases. Handle with care to prevent package and container damage. Equip with corresponding varieties and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment. Emptied containers may leave harmful substances.
Precautions for acetonitrile storage: store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from kindling and heat sources. The storage temperature should not exceed 30 ℃. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidants, reductants, acids, alkalis, inflammables and edible chemicals, and should not be mixed. Explosion proof lighting and ventilation facilities are adopted. It is forbidden to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to produce sparks. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable storage materials.
