Precautions for tetrahydrofuran manufacturers

1. Respiratory system protection: filter gas mask (half mask) should be worn when it may be exposed to its vapor. If necessary, it is recommended to wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

2. Eye protection: generally, special protection is not required, and safety glasses can be worn in case of high concentration contact.

3. Body protection: wear anti-static work clothes.

4. Hand protection: wear benzene and oil resistant gloves.

5. Skin contact: take off the contaminated clothes and wash the skin thoroughly with soapy water and clear water.

6. Eye contact: lift the eyelids and wash them with flowing water or normal saline. See a doctor.

7. Inhalation: quickly leave the site to a place with fresh air. Keep the respiratory tract unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, give artificial respiration immediately. See a doctor.

8. Ingestion: drink enough warm water, induce vomiting, and seek medical advice.

9. Fire extinguishing method: spray water to cool the container, and move the container from the fire site to an open place if possible. If the container in the fire site has changed color or generated sound from the safety pressure relief device, it must be evacuated immediately.

10. Fire extinguishing agent: foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, sand. Extinguishing with water is invalid.

11. Small leakage: absorb or absorb with sand or other non combustible materials. It can also be washed with a large amount of water, which is diluted and then put into the wastewater system.

12. Massive leakage: build a dike or dig a pit to receive. Cover with foam to reduce steam disaster. Spray water cools and dilutes steam, protects on-site personnel, and dilutes leakage into incombustible substances. Transfer to tank car or special collector with explosion-proof pump, recycle or transport to waste treatment site for disposal
