Product Application

Mono Propylene Glycol for Antifreeze is mainly reflected in when mixed with it the freezing point of water decreases. Used as aircraft de-icing and anti-icing fluid. The 50% water diluted and heated solution is used to remove ice buildup (de-icing) from the fuselage of commercial aircraft on the ground, and the 100% undiluted cold solution is used only on aircraft wing and tail surfaces to prevent buildup during. The water-propylene glycol mixture is dyed pink, indicating that the mixture is relatively non-toxic and is sold under the name RV or marine antifreeze. Propylene glycol is often used as an additive to environmentally friendly automotive antifreeze. It is also used to winterize plumbing systems in vacant structures.
