Product Application

Tetrahydrofuran Solvent is often used as an ethereal solvent with a higher boiling point in the laboratory. Its oxygen atom can coordinate with Lewis acids, including Li+, Mg2+, etc., and can form adducts with borohydride compounds. Therefore, THF, like ether, can not only be used as a solvent for primary alcohols in hydroboration reactions, but also as a solvent for organic lithium compounds and Grignard reagents.
