Product Application

Propylene Glycol Tech Grade is used as a chemical feedstock for the production of unsaturated polyester resins. Related to this application, propylene glycol reacts with propylene oxide to form oligomers and polymers for the production of polyurethanes. Propylene Glycol Tech Grade is used in waterborne acrylic architectural coatings to extend drying time, it does this by preventing the surface from drying out because it evaporates more slowly than water.
