SH-PEG-NHS (mercapto Polyethylene Glycol Succinimide Ester)
Leave a message
SH-PEG-NHS (mercapto polyethylene glycol succinimide ester) polyethylene glycol (PEG) compounds contain polyether units, usually expressed as R 1 - (o-ch 2 -ch 2) n -or 2. They are usually biocompatible, non-toxic and stable in organic and aqueous solutions, so they are widely used in biological applications, as well as nanotechnology and material research. PEG chain modified proteins and compounds encapsulated in PEG liposomes show longer half-life than their non PEGylated counterparts in vivo, which is called peg shielding. Functionalized peg lipids and phospholipids can be used for protein peg conjugation.
