Product Appearance

A clear colorless liquid with an ether - like aroma. A colorless limpid liquid with an aromatic odor. Flash point 42°F. Density 0.783 c / cm3. Toxic by skin absorption. Less dense than water. Vapors are denser than air.

Product Application

ACN Acetonitrile Pharma Grade has excellent solvent properties and is an important organic intermediate. And widely used as polar aprotic solvent. The biggest use of acetonitrile is as a solvent, which can be used as a solvent for the synthesis of vitamin A, cortisone, carbon amine drugs and their intermediates, and as an active medium solvent for the manufacture of vitamin B1 and ammonia base acids. Alternative to chlorinated solvents. Used in vinyl coatings, also used as extractant for fatty acids, alcohol denaturant, butadiene extractant and solvent for acrylonitrile synthetic fibers, also has many uses in fabric dyeing, lighting industry, perfume manufacturing and photosensitive material manufacturing.

Use spark-/explosionproof appliances and lighting system. Take recautions against electrostatic charges. Keep away from naked flames/heat. Keep away from ignition sources/sparks. Measure the concentration in the air regularly. Work under local exhaust/ventilation. Comply with the legal requirements. Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Clean contaminated clothing. Handle uncleaned empty containers as full ones. Thoroughly clean/dry the installation before use. Do not discharge the waste into the drain. Do not use compressed air for pumping over. Avoid contact of substance with water. Keep container tightly closed.

Hygiene Measures

Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eating, drinking or smoking and when leaving work. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
